  • Welcome to Brooke County Schools where students are our number one priority.  We strive to provide an outstanding education focusing on college and career readiness while enriching students' lives through the arts, extra-curricular activities, and volunteer opportunities.  Our seven elementary schools, two middle schools, and our high school boast successful students, rising test scores, and excellent attendance rates. Our caring staff, both professional and service, foster a safe and nurturing environment where all students may reach their potential.


    ***As a result of a scheduled power outage by First Energy in various locations at a variety of times and approximately 1,000 families from the Washington Pike area that will be without power the entire day, we will be closing all schools on November 20th.***

    All extracurricular activities and practices must be scheduled after 7:00 pm.




    Individuals holding a 4-year degree may begin the process of obtaining certification for substitute teaching in the absence of a teaching certificate.

    There has been a slight change to the school calendar.  December 21 was originally scheduled as a Faculty Senate 2-HOUR DELAY.  It has been changed to a 2-HOUR EARLY DISMISSAL.  Students will report at the regular time and be dismissed 2 hours early.

    FLU SHOTS are still available for students, staff, and administration at the Health Center.  Just walk in! Students will need parental consent, so stop in and pick up a form.  Please bring your insurance card.


    After receiving a report of a bedbug being found in a classroom at Brooke High School, the following procedures were immediately followed.

     Policy Change for Grade 3 and Under Bus Students






    CHANGE, Inc. will be providing the day care to the parents of any child registered within the Brooke County School System, K to 4th grade. Locations will be Brooke Primary North and South as well as Brooke Intermediate North and South (4 locations).
    Hours of operation will be from 6:00am to 8:30am and 3:30 pm to 6:30pm. Light meals will be provided. Cost per child is $3.00 per hour or $14.50 a day.
