~~~~~~~~~~~~Welcome to the 2017 - 2018 School Year~~~~~~~~~~~
  • Welcome to Brooke County Schools where students are our number one priority.  We strive to provide an outstanding education focusing on college and career readiness while enriching students' lives through the arts, extra-curricular activities, and volunteer opportunities.  Our seven elementary schools, two middle schools, and our high school boast successful students, rising test scores, and excellent attendance rates. Our caring staff, both professional and service, foster a safe and nurturing environment where all students may reach their potential.
    Energy Express is on this summer and we need adult and youth volunteers above the age of 12. Energy Express needs volunteers from 8:30 am to 1:00 (special accommodation can be made for volunteers using the bus system). These volunteers will be doing a variety of activities such as: one-on-one reading with the kids, assist with art projects, and enjoy 2 free meals with the kids.
    This service opportunity begins June 18th and wraps up July 27th. Volunteers can either download the applications below or complete them on their first day. Volunteers under the age of 18 MUST have a parent or guardian sign off before volunteering. We look forward to seeing you and having a GREAT summer!
    *High school students may use these services hours as part of their exam exemption*
    Brooke County School Based Health Center
    A temporary location has been established for the School Based Health Center, until the main site is completed. Starting Friday, June 1, 2018, the SBHC will be temporary located within the Nursing Classroom back in the Vocational section with direct access from behind Brooke High School. The doors will be clearly identified for easy access and parking is next to the entrance, behind the school. Until the room is complete, you can call 527-1410, etc. 3016 for more information. Providers will be onsite starting Friday for all your health care needs. Again, this is a temporary location and we look forward to having an open house once the clinic has been completed.
    With summer approaching, parents are often looking for ways to keep their children engaged and learning.  Click this link for a variety of suggested websites.
