Dr. E. Robert Marks, M.D.
E. Robert Marks, M.D. is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and has been practicing medicine in Wellsburg and Wheeling Hospital, since August of 1998. He is past president and chairman of the board for the West Virginia Chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Marks graduated in 1991 from West Virginia Wesleyan College with bachelor’s degrees in biology and chemistry. He graduated in 1995 from Marshall University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Wheeling Hospital in 1998 after serving as chief resident. Dr. Marks serves as campus physician at Bethany College. He earned the prestigious Physician’s Recommendation Award with Commendation by the American Medical Association in 2002 and again in 2010. He was recognized by the Consumer’s Research Council of America as one of America’s Top Family Doctors in 2007 and in 2014. Dr. Marks served as Program Director of Wheeling Hospital’s Family Medicine Residency Program from 2007 through 2012. He is an adjunct clinical assistant professor for WVU School of Medicine and West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Marks served on West Liberty Universities Board of Governors and the West Virginia Wesleyan Alumni Council. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Brooke County Medical Association, the Ohio County Medical Society, the West Virginia State Medical Society, the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine and is Board Certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Marks has been published in several local, regional and national publications including the West Virginia Medical Journal and Kaplan Review.
