Mr. Sean Blumette

Mr Blumette currently serves as the Athletic Director for Brooke County Schools, overseeing the Athletic Programs in Brooke High School and Brooke Middle School. He has been with Brooke County Schools since 2012, and has served in a variety of roles, serving as Head Football Coach, In-School Suspension Coordinator,  Center 2 Principal, Dean of Students, Seasonal Game Manager and Athletic Director. He is a member of the WVADA and NIAAA and serves on the OVAC Comissioners Board as Northern Region Representative. Mr. Blumette earned his CAA Certification through the NIAAA in 2017 and became a WVSSAC ASEP Instructor in 2019.  Mr. Blumette continues to work closely with the OVAC and WVSSAC to bring many events to Brooke High School, including the OVAC Bill Brubaker Swim Championships, OVAC Bill Hinegardner Dual Wrestling Championships and multiple WVSSAC Sectional and Regional events.

Mr. Blumette began his teaching career in 1999 at Duquesne High School, where he taught social studies. After leaving Duquesne, Mr Blumette spent time at Steel Valley High School, Serra Catholic High School amd served one year as Assistant Principal at St James Elementary School in Wilkinsburg, PA in 2009.

Mr Blumette then had the opportunity to coach football and Womens Lacrosse at Waynesburg University, where he also served as an adjunct professor in the History Department, teaching American History 101 and 102.

Mr Blumette has been involved with athletics for the majority of his career, coaching football at Geibel Catholic, Franklin Regional, Serra Catholic and Waynesburg University before accepting the Head Football Coach Position at Brooke. He also served Assistant Athletic Director at Serra Catholic from 2006- 2009.

Mr Blumette is a 1994 graduate of Serra Catholic High School in McKeesport, PA. He graduated from California University of Pennsylvania in 1998, where he obtained a BS in Social Studies Education. He completed his M. Ed in 2004 from Gannon University in Curriculum and Instruction and obtained his Administrative Certification from Gannon in 2007.

Mr. Blumette is originally from North Versailles, Pa and currently resides in Imperial, PA
