Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Shanah Perrone
My name is Shanah Perrone and I am starting my ninth year teaching for Brooke County Schools.
I began as an educator with Brooke County Schools, teaching at the Brooke Hancock Youth Reporting Center. I taught grades 5-12 in multiple subjects at the Reporting Center. For 3 years I enjoyed working with these students and sharing in their successes. I was then hired by Brooke County as a Special Education teacher for grades 5-8 at Follansbee Middle School. After two years I transferred to the 5th grade at the middle school, teaching Math and Science. I spent a total of four years at Follansbee, before I went to Colliers Primary School to teach 4th grade. This year I have returned to teach 5th grade Social Studies at the new Brooke Middle School.
With the general identity of the new Brooke Middle School well under way, I am excited to teach at the school for many reasons. One reason is that I was able to follow my 4th graders from Colliers Primary on their new adventure at Brooke Middle School. I enjoy teaching and supporting students in all their efforts and achievements. Teaching has been a lifelong dream of mine and I hope to inspire others through education.
Education as a profession, keeps you thinking. As a teacher I am fortunate to stay the course of knowledge and mindful growth. It is a career that allows for creativity and building motivation toward achievement in students.
I look forward to the opportunity to grow in education with your child, and I look forward to a wonderful year!
