Mrs. Raineri

Hello, I'm Mrs. Raineri! I currently teach 7th Grade Reading/Language Arts at Brooke Middle Schooll. I have been employed by Brooke County Schools since August of 2012. I have also taught at Follansbee Middle School, which I considered my home school for four years, and again at Wellsburg Middle School for another two years! So it's quite an exciting time to see both schools that I have taught at become one school.

Though I currently reside in Brooke County, I am not a native to the area. I grew up in Paden City, West Virginia where I graduated high school with a class of thirty-two people. It was the type of town where you grew up knowing everyone, first, middle and last name. I attended West Liberty University and graduated in 2009. Though I enjoyed teaching, I didn't first go into teaching. Instead, I worked with men, women, and children with severe developmental disabilities. My time with those amazing people was rewarding and humbling for me, all at the same time. Once married, my husband and I moved to Wheeling, then to Brooke County. We've been married for six years and have a beautiful three-year-old daughter as well as a one-year-old. It's always busy at the Raineri household.

As for me, I'm a pretty positive person. My goal in the classroom is to come in with determination and a positive attitude. The rest usually takes care of itself. It's okay to try and not do well the first time; it's not okay to give up. I also encourage students to think--about their influence on the world around them, about their character, about their goals and how they represent themselves.  Yes, it is important to read, to write, to work on grammar. But it's even more important to understand our own impact from the choices we make and the words we use. Be positive. Be Responsible. Be respectful. These keys open the doors to success. Over all, your attitude determines almost everything.
