Mrs. Tammy Cutshall

Hello! My name is Tammy Cutshall.  Welcome to my classroom website!

It’s hard to believe that this is my thirty-fourth year of teaching! My first ten years as a teacher were spent teaching sixth grade science at Lubeck Elementary, a K-6 elementary school near Parkersburg, West Virginia. I then moved back home to Wellsburg and taught special education at Follansbee Middle School for four years and sixth grade science for six years. For the past thirteen years I’ve been a seventh grade science teacher at Wellsburg Middle School. I’m very excited to begin the 2018-2019 school year at Brooke Middle!

I’m married with a daughter, son, and three cats. I enjoy singing, reading, decorating, DIY projects, and most of all – spending time with my family.

I feel incredibly fortunate to be teaching a subject that I’ve always loved. I hope to instill an appreciation of science and enthusiasm for learning in each of my students. I’m dedicated to providing my students with a safe, compassionate, interesting, and exciting learning environment. I encourage my students to work hard and think like scientists. One of my favorite quotes is, “Great teachers engineer learning experiences that put students in the driver’s seat and then get out of the way.”
