As the Computer Science teacher, at Brooke Middle School, I work with seventh and eighth grade students. The curriculum is from Project Lead the Way. PLTW empowers students to develop and apply in-demand, transportable skills by exploring real-world challenges. Through their pathways in computer science, students not only learn technical skills, but also learn to solve problems, think critically and creatively, communicate, and collaborate. This process helps to engage students in real-world learning.
I consider myself a diverse teacher that is eager to guide students in technology instruction that will build their skills to be successful in the digital world of today. My passion to continue to learn and grow has led me through distinct opportunities. I have studied with the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston in the areas of technology through their Target Teaching program, I have completed my Master's in Education - Technology Emphasis at West Liberty University and have trained with Project Lead the Way through Brooke County Schools.
