Ms. Alyssa Roadman

This is currently my 12th year teaching, second year of kindergarten. I previously taught at Clay-Battelle High School for three years, beginning an autism program, and at Mountainview Elementary for four years, teaching first grade. Both schools were located in Morgantown, where I found myself after graduating from Bethany College in 2008. I moved back home three summers ago to Brooke County to be with my growing family. I taught second grade for three years at Hooverson Heights Primary, where I was welcomed back to school in 2016 with the fantastic news that after a nomination from my co-workers at Hooverson, I have been chosen as Brooke County’s Teacher of Year!

I live in Colliers with my cat, Callie. I enjoy hiking and backpacking into the woods to camp with my boyfriend of ten years, Will. I also love reading a good book by the beach. I collect M&M figures, of which I have over 200! Finally, I went back to school myself and finished my masters at West Liberty University to obtain my reading specialist degree in 2018.

I am thrilled to be at Brooke Primary North teaching with my sister in the same building. Thank you for welcoming me into your child’s life!
