Mrs. Julie Dennis
I am a 2001 graduate of West Liberty State College with a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education. Since graduating college I have furthered my degree by getting a specialization in Mental Impairments, Learning Disabilities and Behavior Disorders from Ohio Valley University in 2008. I also completed my Autism certification in 2009 from Bethany college. I started teaching at a small parochial school in Ohio. I enjoyed my time at St. Agnes Central for 3 years. I spent years substitute teaching and co-teaching for Indian Creek School district until I was hired by Brooke County in 2009. I spent 3 years teaching Learning Disabilities at Follansbee Middle School in both 6th and 8th grades. I enjoyed my time there very much until my dream job opened up. In 2012, I took a position teaching Kindergarten at Hooverson Heights Primary School. In fall 2018 I decided to move grade levels and teach first grade at Brooke Primary North. I went into teaching to make a difference in the world, but now I'm happy in a job well done if I reach and make a difference in just one student.
