2018-2019 School Calendar
Sign up to receive text message alerts from BMS with Remind101. We had one group for the entire school, but Remind changed their settings. Now, for the free group we can only have 150 members. Unfortunately, the paid subscription is $3600 per year. New codes are shown below. Please join a group based on your student or students' grade level. (You can join more than one). By naming them as their graduating class, you can remain in one group throughout your child's entire middle school experience. If I had named them as grade specific groups, you'd have to join a new one every year. Please spread the word, as if you joined the previous group it is no longer active.

Drop off for ALL students will now be 7:10 am. Students will not be permitted access to the building prior to 7:10 am.
Students being dropped off by parents will be in the same location as last year. Drivers will enter the first driveway, drive down and around the building, and loop up to the left. Drop off will be located at the upper concession stand at the BHS Football field. Students will walk along the sidewalk to the front doors.
Students with special needs may still be dropped off at the side circle. Drivers will enter the first driveway, make an immediate left turn and drive parallel to the building. Drop off will be located in the circle/loop to the side of the building.
School begins at 7:25 am. Students will be marked tardy if they arrive after 7:25.
2:16 (first bell) for students upstairs, in the science wing, and students with any physical impairment.
2:20 (second bell) for remaining students
Buses are scheduled to depart at 2:30/2:35.
Parent pick up will FOLLOW the departure of buses. Parents picking up their student will utilize the same location as morning drop off. (Near upper concession stand). Students will be excused out of the side gym doors.
Parents: PLEASE REMAIN PARKED until no students are walking in the driveway area. This is for our students' safety.

Technology Student Association
We are currently raising funds to send 24 students to the TSA State Conference. Our students will be competing in events from robotics to forensics to medical technology and more. The competition lasts an entire weekend and we are raising money to cover food, travel, lodging and entry fees. The total cost will be approximately $4500. Parents will be covering some costs but our goal is to limit it as much as possible so that every member of our club has the opportunity to attend. If you would like to help the hard working students of the Brooke Middle School TSA club, you may send donations to the school directly (c/o Keith Huntzinger/Jami Packer) or donate online (click here)

Good deeds don't go unnoticed!
Way to go BMS 4H Club and Jason Rine with the WVU Extension Office! This hard working group worked to collect over 300 pounds of recycled paper!

Click here for important tips on caring for your Chromebook and warranty information. Additionally, Trinity3 offers carrying cases that help protect the devices. The cases that are "cute" do nothing to protect the actual device. They are just a cloth sleeve with very little padding. The ones sold online are rigid and reinforced.
